ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has made some headlines over the last week after saying that he would run for president while appearing on Paul Finebaum’s show, then again doubling down on the crazy thought on First Take a couple of days later with Finebaum on his show.
While appearing on The Opening Kickoff with Mark and Lee this morning, Finebaum stated that it would be “an honor” to join Smith’s potential presidential campaign and that Smith has an ability to draw people to him that would give him a shot. He also said that while it sounds like a joke, he does not believe that Smith is joking when he says he would run if people wanted him to. Here is the clip from this morning:
