Tide’s Young Picks Up Where He Left Off; 6 TDs vs Utah State

Alabama Quarterback Bryce Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy Winner, picked up right where he left off.  Young threw for 5 touchdowns, ran in another for the Crimson Tide in an easy 55-0 drubbing of Utah State.  Young was 18-28 for 195 yards and set a new career high with 100 rushing yards on just five carries.

Alabama spread the ball out as 11 different receivers caught a pass against the Aggies. Wide receiver Traeshon Holden, transfer wide receiver Jermaine Burton and freshman wide receiver had five catches apiece.  Holden and Burton scored twice as well.

Transfer running back Jehmyr Gibbs was explosive, rushing for 93 yards on nine carries.
