The Reese’s Senior Bowl has announced in a release the official draft numbers the game had for this year, and they are staggering.
According to the release, Senior Bowl had 110 players selected (out of 257 total drafted) in the 2024 NFL Draft, meaning that 43 percent of the entire draft pool came from the Senior Bowl.
This marks the fourth consecutive year in which Mobile’s game has accounted for at least 40 percent of the draft pool and fourth straight of triple digits whereas before 2021, this had never been the case.
With ten first round picks, the Senior Bowl tied a record it had set in 2021. There were also 35 players selected between rounds two and three and 45 selected between rounds four and seven.
With 45 of the first 100 picks, the previous record from that figure (36) was destroyed as well.
Executive Director of the Senior Bowl Jim Nagy weighed in on what was yet another huge year for his game.
“It’s always great moving the bar higher for the Senior Bowl but mostly we’re just happy for all those young men who realized their lifelong dream of getting drafted. Everyone at the Senior Bowl is truly grateful for so many great players choosing to make our game part of their NFL journeys,” Nagy said.
