Bills QB Josh Allen to Appear on Cover of Madden 24

The latest rumors surrounding the cover athlete for Madden 24 were confirmed to be true this afternoon, with EA Sports announcing that Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen will be the latest to grace the front of the iconic video game franchise. Madden 24 will release for all consoles on August 18th.

Allen has staked his claim as one of the best signal callers in the league over the past few seasons, being named as a pro-bowler twice as well as a second team All Pro in 2020. While he had shown promise and a magnificent arm, his career really started to take off after Buffalo acquired star receiver Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings before the 202o season.

In 2021, Allen dueled with Patrick Mahomes in one of the most iconic playoff games in NFL history, with his 329 yards and four touchdowns falling just short to Mahomes’ magic in overtime. Allen will be one of the prime candidates to win the league MVP this season.

Something he has not done, however, that his AFC counterparts Mahomes and Joe Burrow have, is take his team to a Super Bowl. Surely, that will be on Allen and Buffalo’s mind this year as the 2023 season rapidly approaches. But seeing Allen on the cover of Madden will be a welcome site for Bills and NFL fans alike.
