Week three of the high school football season has come and gone, and the Pigskin Pete crew has named a new Bryant Bank Player of the Week.
This week, the honor and distinction goes to Mobile Christian running back PJ Brown, who had an absolutely massive game in the Leopards’ 40-6 victory over Satsuma on Friday night. Brown toted the rock 24 times for a staggering 331 yards and 3 touchdowns, a number that fell less than 3o yards short of a school record for yards in a game.
Incredibly, Brown averaged nearly 14 yards per carry on the night.

Brown’s performance helped lead the school to their first-ever win under new head coach Charles Lawson. Lawson joined The Opening Kickoff on Monday morning to talk about his star running back and the big win.
“PJ is an electric guy,” Lawson said. “He is small in stature but he is very strong…I can go on and on about PJ, the kid is just phenomenal. He’s a phenomenal student, gets it done in the classroom, takes practice serious, and it shows on Friday nights.”
The Leopards hit the road next week and will face Escambia County on Friday night.
