Auburn Lands 4-Star CB After Missing Out on KJ Bolden

Hugh Freeze has kept Auburn in the recruiting news cycle over the last few weeks, with the Tigers being a serious player for 5-star Buford safety and one of the best players in the nation in the class of 2024, KJ Bolden. For a couple days there, it even looked likely that Auburn would be able to land Bolden, this coming off the heels of securing 5-stars Demarcus Riddick and Perry Thompson.

Ultimately, Bolden chose Florida State over Auburn and Georgia, but as we have talked about, Freeze has Auburn back in the mix for some of the top recruits in the nation on a regular basis. Following Bolden’s decision, Auburn did get good news that offered some consolation from missing out on Bolden.

4-star cornerback Jalewis Solomon of Ellaville, Georgia, who was once seen as a South Carolina lock, chose Hugh Freeze and The Plains instead. Solomon is listed according to 247Composite as the 30th overall player in the state of Georgia and 230th player nationally, but the reviews on him indicate he just might be under-ranked.

Listed as an athlete who has played both sides of the ball in high school, Solomon will play defense at Auburn and is described as a physical playmaker with great short area burst. Another gem added to the turnaround at Auburn for Hugh Freeze and company.
