While much has been made over the SEC schedule in 2024, news came out this morning that the Alabama Crimson Tide will be hosting the Georgia Bulldogs during the 2024 regular season in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama last hosted Georgia during the 2020 Covid season, where the Tide were victorious by a score of 41-24.
Georgia @ Alabama will without a doubt be the most anticipated matchup of the 2024 season. It’s quite possible that Georgia could be the 3-time defending national champion by the time the game is played. While they could meet up in the SEC championship or the College Football Playoff this upcoming season, Alabama and Georgia are not scheduled to play in 2023.
After missing the College Football Playoff in 2022, Alabama is trying to get back to the top of the sport in 2o23, even with questions at the QB position. Georgia is replacing quite a bit as well, but this was not an issue for them from 2021 to 2022. There are a lot of questions to be answered this season, and the conversation starts with Georgia and Alabama.
But for now, we can look ahead to 2024 and anticipate what will be an absolutely epic regular season matchup in Bryant-Denny Stadium between two of the powers in the college football world.
