Former MLB Pitcher Blake Stein Talks Morton Injury

When Atlanta Braves RHP Charlie Morton exited his start in game one of the World Series there was the question of injury.

Morton had been struck in the bottom of the second inning on his leg by a come back hit off of the bat of Houston Astros infielder Yuli Gurriel. He then  continued to pitch retiring the side in the second and picking up a strikeout to begin the bottom of the third.

But it was after that strike out that concern arose. Morton twisted awkwardly an obvious grimace as he hobbled around the mound. Training staff quickly arrived, Morton was lifted and it was announced he had a broken the fibula in his left leg when he was struck by the liner back to the mound from Gurriel.

Join Mark and Lee as they sit down with former MLB RHP Blake Stein as he discusses the Morton injury and what it could mean for the Brave’s chances in the World Series.
