Tobias & Comer Coaches’ Corner: Faith Academy Baseball’s Matt Seymour

Every week on the Tobias & Comer Coaches’ Corner, Mark and Lee will talk to a local area high school coach to get the scoop on what’s going on with their team, how our local schools are faring on their respective pushes to bring Blue Maps back to the Gulf Coast, and everything in between.

You can catch all of it right here on WNSP.com or live during The Opening Kickoff.

In this week’s edition, we caught up with Faith Academy Baseball’s Matt Seymour ahead of their semifinal series against Briarwood Christian to get into the 5A state championship series and face the winner between Moody and American Christian Academy, a showdown which will be held in Jacksonville next week.

“We’re playing well enough to win but of course obviously can improve and do things to become a better team,” Seymour said when asked if his team is playing its best baseball ahead of the biggest moment of the year, talking about how he is trying to keep things in perspective for his group.

With things getting started at Faith on Thursday and a three-game set to determine who goes to the championship series, it’s a very exciting time over on campus and the Rams are going to give it their best shot at playing for a chance to bring a Blue Map back to the Gulf Coast.
