Bryant Bank Player of the Week: Bo Miller, Bayside Academy

The first round of the playoffs in the state of Alabama has come and gone, and the Pigskin Pete crew has named a new Bryant Bank Player of the Week.

This week, the honor goes to Bayside Academy Admirals quarterback Bo Miller after he led his team to a first round playoff victory over Hale County with a huge night through the air. Miller threw for 267 yards and four touchdowns in the 36-6 victory for the Admirals! Senior tight end Miles Uter, an SMU commit, caught three of Miller’s four touchdown passes.

“It was one of the most fun nights our kids have had since I’ve been at Bayside,” head coach Barrett Trotter said. “He’s had a great season, he’s been continuing to get better each week. I told him on Monday I thought he had his best practice of the season…for him to come out there on Friday and play the way he did, I wasn’t even surprised…I think the future is certainly very bright for Bayside and for him.”

It was the Admirals first playoff victory since 2021 and they will now hit the road for a second round matchup at Alabama Christian as they try to make it into the third round for the first time since 2016.
