Auburn’s run in Omaha is over after an 11-1 defeat last night to the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Tigers simply ran out of pitching, with starter Mason Barnett going 2.2 innings and allowing five hits and four earned runs before being pulled.
Auburn picked a bad night for the bats to finally go quiet as well, mustering just four hits on the night, with Sonny DiChiara responsible for two of them. Razorbacks starter Will McEntire went 7 innings and allowed just three hits and one run. First baseman Peyton Stovall added five hits on the night for Arkansas.

Arkansas will now face red hot Ole Miss in another elimination game for the Razorbacks and will need to beat them twice in a row for a spot in the championship series. The other semi-final features Oklahoma against Texas A&M, with the Aggies facing elimination this afternoon and needing to defeat the Sooners twice for a spot in the championship series.
