South Alabama Men’s Basketball Returns Home Against Buffalo this Saturday

The South Alabama men’s basketball team looks to win one for the Sun Belt Saturday against Buffalo in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.

South Alabama has won three out of its last five and is currently third in the Sun Belt Conference standings. The Jags are coming off a tough 65-57 loss at Appalachian State where they only shot 37% from the field. Chaze Harris led the Jags with 17 points and 6 assists. Jayden Cooper also added 16 points and 5 rebounds.

Adam Olsen had a rough game against Appalachian State finishing with only 6 points and shooting 2-14 from the field. The Jags will need him to come back and play big against Buffalo.

Buffalo has been on a cold streak recently as it has lost 7 out of its last 8 after starting out the season 13-2. In the Bulls last matchup, they narrowly 73-71 lost to one of the two remaining undefeated teams in Miami University (Ohio).

Both teams are 1-0 in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge with South Alabama getting a close win over Toledo in the season opener, and Buffalo triumphing over Southern Miss in its season opener.

This will be the Jags last home game before they go on a three-game road trip against Southern Miss, Arkansas State and the rescheduled game against Marshall.
