College football season is soon going to be upon fans in the Yellowhammer State after what has been a long and brutal offseason where it’s hard to think about anything that isn’t football.

It won’t be long though before fans can check off one more box of the offseason with the start of fall training camp just days away for many teams.

On3 compiled a list of dates that training camp is going to begin for every major program and the two biggest teams within the state are going to start right next to each other.

According to the article, the Auburn Tigers are going to be opening their fall camp a week from today on July 29 exactly one month before the Friday night opener at Baylor.

As for the Alabama Crimson Tide, they will open up just one day later on July 30 exactly one month before their home opener on the road against Florida State. July 30 seems to be the most popular date and will be the first day for Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Tennessee and numerous others.

Getting excited about the reveal of what date their team is going to start practicing may be a foreign concept to the rest of the country, but as they say, it just means more in the SEC.
