Following back-to-back wins for 23XI, Michael Jordan, and driver Tyler Reddick with the 45 car going to Victory Lane in both Daytona and at EchoPark. NASCAR goes from turning left to turning left and right at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas this weekend.
Tyler Reddick is the first driver since Matt Kenseth in 2009 to win the first two races of the NASCAR schedule. If Reddick can park it in Victory Lane for a third straight race, he’d become the first driver in the modern era to win the first three races on the schedule. Reddick has posted strong results in the past at COTA but a stacked field stands in the way of history for Reddick this Sunday.
Entering this weekend, NASCAR’s oldest second year driver, Shane Van Gisbergen holds a 5 race win streak at road courses on the NASCAR schedule. The last time another driver went to victory lane at a road course? Circuit of The Americas in week 3 of the 2025 cup season. Christopher Bell won last year’s race at the 20 turn circuit, in the middle of a 3 race win streak himself. Another trending name for the track is Connor Zilisch who made his Cup Series debut at the track last season and is in his first full time season in the Trackhouse #88 Chevrolet.
Oddsmakers would reflect this sentiment with Van Gisbergen coming in at even odds to win (a rarity for such short odds in NASCAR), “The Purple One” Connor Zilisch coming in with the second shortest odds at +450, and Christopher Bell a distant third at +1100. William Byron is slotted fourth at 13 to 1 and Reddick coming off back to back race wins is 5th in the odds at 14 to 1.
If you’re the type of guy who says “NASCAR is boring, it’s just 1,000 left turns”, well there’s right turns this weekend.
The race is set for Sunday with the green flag waving at 2:30 local time on FOX.
