Minkah Fitzpatrick Gets PAID

Steelers safety and former Alabama star Minkah Fitzpatrick became a very wealthy man on Wednesday afternoon. Fitzpatrick inked a four year contract extension with Pittsburgh for $74 million, including $36 million guaranteed and $18.4 million per season. The new deal makes Fitzpatrick the highest paid safety in league history.

Fitzpatrick was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019 and 2020, and though he fell short of that in 2021, new Steelers GM Omar Khan is showing how essential he believes Fitzpatrick to be to the Steel Curtain defense with this mega deal. With the AFC looking as strong as ever offensively, Pittsburgh is making sure that the anchor of their secondary is not going anywhere anytime soon.
