Every Thursday right here you can read Inside the Dome, where we’ll get into a different topic on the Saints/the NFL as a whole, break down the Black and Gold, and talk about where things stand in the shield. In this week’s edition, the Saints sit at 3-4 with a winnable road game against the Colts coming up on Sunday:
The loss to the Jaguars last Thursday was a frustrating one in that the Saints won the turnover battle and had a chance to at least tie the game at the end before an unfortunate drop by tight end Foster Moreau effectively ended it.
Now, New Orleans turns its focus to Indianapolis and a road game against backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, who has taken over after Anthony Richardon’s season-ending shoulder injury.
Minshew did cook the Browns defense last week, however, which is one of the best in the league in a 39-38 loss. Both Minshew and Derek Carr threw for over 300 yards last week, though it took Carr more than double the amount of attempts as Minshew (Carr threw 55, Minshew 23)
This should be a phenomenal game, and Vegas concurs, with a spread sitting right at an even pick ’em.
Prediction: Colts 24 Saints 16
