Braves Win Again, Pull Within 1.5 Games in NL East

With the Mets off today, the Braves had an opportunity to pull within a game and a half of the National League East division lead by sweeping the Pirates.

With a five run fourth inning and a seven run eighth, the Braves clobbered the Pirates 14-2 to complete the sweep and take advantage of the Mets off day.

Last night, for the second straight night the Yankees took down the Mets, 4-2 and set up the Braves to pull closer in the race.

The Braves will be off tomorrow before beginning a series in St. Louis on Friday, and the Mets begin a series against the Rockies tomorrow with ace Jacob deGrom on the mound.
