Alabama sophomore wide receiver JoJo Earle has suffered a Jones fracture in his foot and will be out for at least 6-8 weeks, according to head coach Nick Saban.
After recording 12 catches for 148 and factoring in on special teams during his freshman year, Earle suffered an injury against New Mexico State towards the end of the season the caused him to miss significant time.
Earle is a unique talent, drawing comparisons to Jaylen Waddle even by Nick Saban himself last year. According to Saban, he was making significant progress this offseason and looking very good in camp.
Entering his sophomore campaign, Earle was expected to be a major factor in this offense along with fellow sophomore speedster Christian Leary, but now this will certainly be a setback at the start of the season. He should return sometime in October and can hopefully get back on track once he is healthy.
