South Alabama Men’s Basketball Begins its Road Trip Against Southern Miss this Thursday

South Alabama looks to continue its hot streak on the road for the next three games as they head to Hattiesburg to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

South Alabama has won six out of its last eight, and are currently ranked third in the Sun Belt Conference standings. The Jaguars last time out ended in an 81-69 victory over the Buffalo Bulls at the Mitchell Center this past Saturday.

Adam Olsen, Jayden Cooper and Chaze Harris all had great games against Buffalo with all three of them shooting at least 50% from the field.

Southern Miss is on a cold streak as of late as it has lost six out of its last eight, but it did get a one point win last time out against Kent State. Overall, Southern Miss is 13-13 on the year with a 6-7 conference record.

Even though South Alabama is third in the Sun Belt Conference standings and Southern Miss is 11th, the Jags only have one more win in conference play. Many of the teams in the Sun Belt are around the .500 mark in conference play, showcasing the talent across the league.

After this matchup, the Jags will head to Jonesboro to take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
