MOBILE, AL \u2013 Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Michael Pierce joined The Opening Kickoff in the studio Friday.<\/p>\n

Pierce graduated from Daphne High School, helping the Trojans to the Alabama 6-A state championship in 2010. He went on to play two years at Tulane before transferring to Samford University.<\/p>\n

As an undrafted free agent, Pierce signed with Baltimore in 2016. In his time in the NFL, he has 84 tackles, three sacks, and two fumble recoveries.<\/p>\n

Pierce gave some insight on what to expect from the upcoming NFL Playoff games this weekend. He touched on the matchup between New England\u2019s offensive line and the Jaguars\u2019 pass rush.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s see how Marcell Dareus does against their interior,\u201d Pierce said. \u201cHe\u2019s a $100 million guy and a perennial pro-bowler when he\u2019s healthy. We\u2019ll see how Tom Brady does against their front. That\u2019s going to be the key to the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, talking about the NFC Championship between the Eagles and Vikings.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the Eagles\u2019 hope relies on Nick Foles,\u201d Pierce said. \u201cWe\u2019ll see what he can come up with, but if it\u2019s anything like last week, he may be in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pierce\u2019s younger brother Myles will be playing in the 2018 Reese\u2019s Senior Bowl, representing The Citadel.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re going to see a physical linebacker,\u201d Pierce said. \u201cPlaying at a Division 1 AA school, you don\u2019t get a lot of publicity. I think he\u2019s going to surprise some people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pierce concluded the interview by discussing his ideal play as a defensive lineman.<\/p>\n

\u201cInterception,\u201d he said. \u201cI was fortunate enough to have a scoop-and-score. I didn\u2019t have to run anywhere. I kind of ended up in the end zone.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving an interception and running is special.\u201d<\/p>\n
