A region title as well as playoff seeding is on the line as each team wants to secure the top seed in 6A Region 1 and with it home field advantage.

With both teams at 6-2 and Daphne sitting at 5-0 in the region, Fairhope is looking to avenge a loss to Baker in each team’s final region game in what is officially now a region championship.

King says the two teams are fairly similar in terms of numbers on offensive and defensive output, and he knows Fairhope will be a tough challenge.

“They are very well coached, we have to play a perfect game to beat these guys and we are up for the challenge,” King said. “We have had to come back to win some games…we had to fight and compete to win. We’ve had to finish games at the end to be able to win and that’s what I like about this team.

“The fight that these young men have, the dedication and commitment they have has been great. Great coaching staff as well, great group of guys committed to being mentors to these young men here at Daphne.”

Things will kick off on Friday night at Jubilee Stadium in Daphne with two great teams going at it trying to bring home a region title, and if the in-region games for both have been any indication so far, it should be a tremendous night of football on the Eastern Shore.

You can find experienced personal injury lawyers over at Tobias & Comer at their website here, and you can check out our full segment with Coach King below:

Every week on the Tobias & Comer Coaches’ Corner, Mark, Lee and Michael will talk to a local area high school coach to get the […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

147,149,1195

0":"post-1184666","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-featured-news","8":"category-high-school","9":"category-potw
["GET
