Miller head coach Ronnie Cottrell to talk about his Tigers\u2019 2-2 start in 3A Region 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re making progress,\u201d Cottrell said, saying he is trying to rebuild the program to its heyday. \u201cWe\u2019re the winningest program in the history of the state of Alabama, but we have not won a state championship in more than 20 years. So we\u2019re trying to build the varsity, junior varsity and middle school programs to get back to that\u2026but it\u2019s been fun to come home.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s a tough Region 1 which includes teams like Jackson, Excel, Escambia County and Opp, who was just able to defeat T.R. Miller this past week in what was a very close game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tigers will face off against Hillcrest-Evergreen this week in a non-region matchup before getting right back into it with Excel the following week.
