Originally from Eight Mile, Alabama, Torrance was a star at Mary G. Montgomery High School before heading to college in his home state.<\/p>\n<p>Torrance went undrafted in the NBA but headed overseas to pursue an international playing career before an incident where he collapsed in August of 2010 during a workout in Florida following a medical emergency that left him hospitalized and in critical condition for an extended period.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following his recovery, Torrance made a determined return to professional basketball, playing in multiple international leagues, including stints in Turkey, Canada, Finland, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/trendynewsblog.today\/mikhail-torrance-obituary-former-alabama-basketball-star-who-overcame-life-threatening-collapse-remembered\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his obituary read<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His journey was widely viewed as a story of resilience after surviving a severe health scare that threatened his life and career. Beyond basketball, Torrance is remembered by family, teammates, and fans as a determined and hardworking athlete who overcame extraordinary challenges. His story continues to resonate within the basketball community as an example of perseverance in the face of adversity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He is survived by his family, including his parents, Michael and Leola Torrance, as well as his siblings. Funeral arrangements have not been publicly announced.
