Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe struggled for large portions of his career as a starter in Tuscaloosa in terms of accuracy and consistency, especially in the areas of intermediate and short passing.<\/p>\n
Milroe found some success on the deep ball and certainly is at the very least above average in that area, but it\u2019s the more routine throws that leave much to be desired and at times greatly handicapped the Crimson Tide offense.<\/p>\n
Of course, it\u2019s the legs of Milroe that make him such an intriguing prospect with a rare kind of athleticism you don\u2019t see every day in a quarterback.<\/p>\n
That being said, he struggled tremendously last week in Mobile at the Senior Bowl both during practice and in the actual game on Saturday, leading many to question if Milroe is capable of being a starting quarterback in the NFL.<\/p>\n
Naturally, due to his speed and ability as a runner however, Milroe \u2013 as has been the case with numerous other prospects in his situation \u2013 was asked whether or not he would be willing to switch positions in order to make it in the NFL, but said fairly definitively that he\u2019s not planning on changing from the signal caller spot anytime soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t ask a zebra to be a dog,\u201d Milroe\u00a0said via\u00a0Chris Simms of NBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n Milroe\u2019s draft stock remains a mystery and he realistically could go anywhere from the first round to not being drafted at all. It will depend largely on whether a team believes that they can fix his mechanical issues and make him into a more polished passer, something which would make him a dangerous threat at the next level.<\/p>\n With his future in the position looking to be in question, Milroe is standing firm and insisting that he will become an NFL quarterback.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
