The Auburn Tigers handled their business against Louisiana-Monroe. Unlike last season, they earned an easy victory during what is supposed to be cupcake week.<\/p>\n
Of course, things have gone horribly this season. But sitting at 4-6 with two games remaining, Auburn has a chance to re-define what their season was over the final two games. It starts this week with a home game against a very good Texas A&M team. Despite the Aggies\u2019 record, the betting line is only around a field goal in A&M\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n

That means that for as unlikely as it may seem, Vegas thinks the Tigers have a fairly good chance to win this ballgame. Of course, every year no matter how bad things have gone Auburn gets the chance on Thanksgiving weekend to salvage their season when they take on Alabama in the Iron Bowl.<\/p>\n
Freeze must not let his team get caught looking ahead, because the Aggies will destroy them if so, and in order to secure bowl eligibility and finish with a record better than last season, Auburn must win each of the last two games \u2014 however unlikely that may seem.<\/p>\n
But it starts this week against Texas A&M with a chance to effectively spoil the Aggies\u2019 playoff hopes. A&M, who hosts Texas in their biggest game of the season, could potentially be looking ahead themselves and overlooking what even in a losing season is still one of the toughest places to play in the conference.<\/p>\n
If Auburn can go beat Texas A&M this week, it could build some momentum that carries over to the following week in Tuscaloosa and gives the Tigers a chance to win a one game season in Bryant-Denny Stadium.<\/p>\n
