The first round of the playoffs in the state of Alabama has come and gone, and the Pigskin Pete crew has named a new Bryant Bank Player of the Week.<\/p>\n
This week, the honor goes to Bayside Academy Admirals quarterback Bo Miller after he led his team to a first round playoff victory over Hale County with a huge night through the air. Miller threw for 267 yards and four touchdowns in the 36-6 victory for the Admirals! Senior tight end Miles Uter, an SMU commit, caught three of Miller’s four touchdown passes.<\/p>\n
“It was one of the most fun nights our kids have had since I’ve been at Bayside,” head coach Barrett Trotter said. “He’s had a great season, he’s been continuing to get better each week. I told him on Monday I thought he had his best practice of the season…for him to come out there on Friday and play the way he did, I wasn’t even surprised…I think the future is certainly very bright for Bayside and for him.”<\/p>\n
It was the Admirals first playoff victory since 2021 and they will now hit the road for a second round matchup at Alabama Christian as they try to make it into the third round for the first time since 2016.<\/p>\n
