High school football season is officially well underway on the Gulf Coast this week with our sixth stop of the Greer\u2019s Markets Game of the Week taking us out to Faith Academy for their big matchup against St. Paul’s.<\/p>\n

The Rams are coming off their first win of the season in what was a huge 5A Region 1 victory over Elberta to begin to climb out of an 0-3 hole after blowouts against Fairhope and Citronelle and a close loss to LeFlore. Following the retirement of Jack French, Erik Speakman arrives from Opelika and is trying to keep the program in a spot where it can compete against the best.<\/p>\n

While it has been a tough process so far, the momentum of a win can often carry over to the next week. That being said, the Saints present the toughest test that the Rams have seen yet. St. Paul’s is off to a tremendous 4-0 start in 6A and has handled UMS Wright, Baldwin County, Murphy, and Theodore.<\/p>\n

History is also on the side of St. Paul’s with a 14-1 record historically against Faith Academy. The one Rams victory came two years ago in a dominant 34-7 performance at Faith.<\/p>\n
