Former St. Paul’s superstar Bryce Huff landed a huge contract at the start of free agency from the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n
Huff, who has spent his entire career thus far with the New York Jets after going undrafted in 2020, inked a 3-year, $51.1 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles that includes $33 million guaranteed and will pay him around $17 million per season.<\/p>\n
Great pass rushers are at a premium in the NFL, and Huff is certainly on his way to becoming just that. Huff had 29 total tackles and 10.0 sacks, working his way up from a rotational and situational rusher to a key part of the Jets pass rush.<\/p>\n
Huff had an incredibly dominant senior season for the St. Paul’s Saints in 2015, finishing the year with 93 tackles and seven sacks and landing on the All-State first team.<\/p>\n
Huff went to Memphis from there after being initially committed to South Alabama and despite being a 2\u00d7 second-team All-AAC awardee, he was not invited to the Senior Bowl in Mobile and would go undrafted.<\/p>\n
Since then, Huff has done nothing but improve every season and develop into an ascending young and extremely talented defender who was a key piece of one of the best defenses in football in 2023.<\/p>\n
Perhaps most impressive was Huff’s league-leading 21.8 percent pressure rate, making the most of each snap he got.<\/p>\n
