Last week, we discussed the top five moments in Iron Bowl history for Alabama. Where does the Millthrow stack up?:

They say wacky things happen in this game at Jordan-Hare Stadium. And Saturday night was certainly the wackiest one that went in Alabama’s favor, and without a doubt since the Kick Six.

Obviously. you want to see how things play out the rest of the season for Alabama before making a determination on just exactly how high up in Crimson Tide lore that play will stand. What ended up being so unique about Bryce Young’s miracle drive in 2021 was that the Tide were able to go on to defeat Georgia the following week and make a run to the national championship.

Even if Alabama were to lose to Georgia next week, 4th and 31 is not a play that will be forgotten anytime soon.

It’s hard to make a real case that Jalen Milroe didn’t eclipse any other play in Alabama’s Iron Bowl history on Saturday night. It was so improbable and so flat-out ridiculous that you just have to vault it right to the top of the list.

On top of the fact that it was one of the greatest Iron Bowls in history, the play improbable play also kept Alabama’s national title hopes alive as it prepares to face Georgia this week in Atlanta for an SEC title.

Time will tell if Alabama is able to defeat the Bulldogs and end up qualifying for the College Football Playoff, but winning in Jordan-Hare on Saturday night was another step towards making that happen.

(Photo via Alabama Football Twitter/X) Every Monday right here you can read Tide Takes, where we’ll get into a different topic on the Crimson Tide, break […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

8,91,147,33
1072,225,1065,789,726
0":"post-1013671","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-crimson-tide-bama-tide","8":"category-alabama","9":"category-featured-news","10":"category-sec","11":"tag-4th-and-31","12":"tag-alabama-crimson-tide","13":"tag-alabama-iron-bowl","14":"tag-iron-bowl","15":"tag-jalen-milroe
["GET
