Ole Miss players know they can beat Alabama
I don’t know who’s going to win Saturday’s game between Alabama and Ole Miss, and neither do any of the players.
And that’s the point.
You see, unlike just about every other team that takes the field against Alabama, the Rebels know what it takes to beat Alabama. They’ve done it two years in a row.
Other teams hope to beat Alabama, but they’re often beaten before the first play. They know down deep they aren’t going to beat the No. 1 team in the country.
That’s not the case with Ole Miss.
Alabama’s last two SEC losses have been to Ole Miss. In fact, except for the Rebels, Auburn is the only SEC team with a class of current players who have ever beaten Alabama.
Alabama is still a two-score favorite to win in Oxford Saturday. But the Rebels know that doesn’t mean they can’t win. That’s the first crucial step in an upset.
Do you think the Rebels can make it three in a row over the Tide?
