Coastal Bank and Trust Player of the Week: Blount’s Kadarius Toney

COASTAL PLAYER OF THE WEEKMOBILE, Ala. (WNSP) – Every week WNSP’s High School Football team will pick one local player who stands out on the field. As has been the case nearly every week this season, there were numerous candidates who stuffed the stat sheet en route to victories.

But for this week the selection committee has chosen Blount’s Kadarius Toney. The senior quarterback, listed at 6-0 and 180 pounds, is a Florida commit who had also received offers from South Carolina, Georgia Tech and Alabama.

In this week’s 42-7 win over the Saraland Spartans, Toney was 9-19 through the air for 148 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball six times for 84 yards and three scores.

Blount (4-0) heads to B.C. Rain (3-0) next week for a regional showdown between two undefeated teams. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, September 16.

Congratulations again to Kadarius Toney!
