The senior from Atlanta was named MVP of the Southeastern Conference Tournament after leading Auburn to its first tournament title in 34 years.
Brown scored 17, 19, 11 and 19 points in the Tigers’ wins over Missouri, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. He had eight assists against only three turnover and did not miss a free throw throughout the tournament.
Brown and his teammates were particularly impressive in the 84-64 win over Tennessee in the championship game.
No matter what happens in the NCAA Tournament, Brown’s Auburn career is going to be one of the best in Auburn basketball history. He arrived on the Plains to join the worst team in the SEC. He will leave with a regular-season league title last year and a conference tournament championship this season. Much of that credit goes to Brown himself.
