Northwestern Unionization Could Be Just The Beginning



   The National Labor Relations Board in Chicago has ruled that Northwestern Football players will be allowed to unionize.

   Former Quarterback Kain Colter has led the charge, for what could end up being a blockbuster domino effect for college sports.

   At this point, it is geared towards just football and basketball programs for a handful of private Universities.

   This ruling will allow the players to have a voice in their University’s  decision-making process, surrounding their respective programs.

   Among the various request, players could bargain for some of the following topics: practice times, medical expenses, scheduling, and other forms of financial assistance.

   This is a major step for college athletics, despite it being limited to private Universities, as it could slowly expand across the country.
