ITAC Recruit of the Week: Dylan Moses

ITAC Recruit of the weekWhen I first heard Dylan Moses referred to as the No. 1 recruit in the country in the Class of 2017, the statement sounded like something out of  a science fiction novel.

That’s because the year was 2012. And Dylan Moses was still an eighth-grade running back who had never even attended high school.

Fast forward to his senior season and Moses is now the No. 4 national recruit as a linebacker at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

While in junior high he received scholarship offers from LSU, Texas and Alabama, among others. He committed to the Tigers, a commitment that last for two years. But with the coaching turmoil in Baton Rouge, Moses de-committed in August and, last weekend, committed to Alabama.

Moses gives Alabama a commitment from three of the top five recruits in the country, with the Tide still in pursuit of the other two uncommitted players.

Nobody knows if Moses will be a great player in college. But there’s no doubting he qualifies as a big-name recruit.

For ITAC Solutions, I’m Randy Kennedy with the Recruit of the Week.
