Doug Konkel of Jags Jungle.com reports that South Alabama has received a commit from Junior College pass rusher Akkeem Lewis. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY
Lewis played linebacker and defensive end for Los Angeles Harbor Community College in California, racking up nine sacks this past season.
He chose South Alabama over Michigan, Illinois, and Houston because it was closest to his home in Louisiana.
Lewis will play the hybrid pass rusher roll for the Jags next season, at jack linebacker and stand up defensive end.
