Week 5 Recap (Sep 28th):
Last week High School football teams stepped out of region play with a host of great games in the area. In fact, three games involving TOP 10 teams took place, all in Baldwin County. #4. McGill Toolen took down #9. Daphne 38-21 as QB Jason Smith had another impressive game. Also, the Jackets got a 92 yard kick-off return for a TD as well from Philbert Marshall. #5 (5a) Spanish Fort remained unbeaten with a 31-21 win over Fairhope at Toro Stadium. Finally, UMS Wright rallied from 16 down to defeat Bayside Academy 23-19.
Week 6 Top Games (Oct 5th):
As we jump back in Region play, TWO big games take place here on the coast involving one in 5A and one in 6A. In Region 1, 5A– #5. St Pauls (4-1) travels to #3. Spanish Fort to determine who stays unbeaten in region play. This games features two very good offensive teams as Spanish Fort’s Joel Poe faces St Pauls Jordan Huff. The Saints are averaging 42 pts. per game. This game will be broadcast on 105.5FM, WNSP.
