Week 3 Suprise (9/14/12):
Well, we could go several places here. MOBILE CHRISTIAN went on the road and defeated the Leroy Bears, a very tough place to win. Matthew Waltman caught the game winning 41 yd. touchdown in the 28-20 win. The DAPHNE Trojans scored 3 times late in the game to force OT against Foley on its way to a 1 point win. QB TJ Fleeton threw 3 TD passes for Daphne. The UMS WRIGHT Bulldogs went up to Thomasville and defeated the #3 team in the state for a big 4A/1 region win. The Bulldogs snapped a two game losing streak to Thomasville.
Week 4 Game of the Week:
MCGILL VS. DAVIDSON. Join Tim Finigan and Howard McCain in the broadcast booth as WNSP will be broadcasting from Ladd Stadium at 6:50pm Friday night. This game will feature two of the top QB’s in the state this season as Sr QB Cam Jackson leads the Davidson Warriors against McGill Toolen Sr. QB Jason Smith, who has verbally committed to Auburn. Davidson leads the overall series 27-20, including beating McGill back in 2010 in the first round of the playoffs. These two teams did not play last season.
