The votes are in and Alabama is back on top.
After playing like the number one team in the nation, they are official ranked as so.
Their impressive 41-14 victory over Michigan in Saturday’s Cowboy Classic pushed voters to move Alabama over USC in the latest AP Polls.
The two teams’ Week 1 victories don’t even come close to comparing, as USC partook in their annual warm up game against lowly Hawaii 49-10.
Alabama received 45 first-place votes, almost doubling their total from the week before.
While Alabama and USC switch spots, LSU remains at number three after their overlooked victory over North Texas.
The Tide now have a bigger target on their back, as the top team in the nation, but Saban welcomes the challenge.
