SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Demetre Baker scored on a 25-yard run on South Alabama’s first play of the second overtime as the Jaguars defeated Texas-San Antonio 30-27 at the Alamodome on Saturday afternoon.
South Alabama (3-2) ended a two-game losing streak with the win. UTSA, a first-year program under former Miami coach Larry Coker, fell to 2-4.
The Jaguars blocked a potential game-winning field goal on the final play of regulation and got a 1-yard run by Ellis Hill in the first overtime. UTSA countered with a 30-yard TD pass.
