TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Duron Carter was back at Alabama for his second day of practice since a transcript issue was resolved and the junior wide receiver was admitted to school.

Carter spent Tuesday afternoon in shorts and shoulder pads, and has quickly earned the respect of his new teammates.

“He hasn’t been out there long,” center William Vlachos said. “I got to watch him some this summer and he’s a really talented guy. We look forward to him getting up to speed with the offense and all that type of stuff. Hopefully he’ll keep progressing and he’ll contribute this year.”

Linebacker Nico Johnson confirmed Carter’s addition to the receiving corps lifted the spirit of the locker room.

Carter enrolled prior today’s deadline for fall classes. He is expected to play a limited role in Alabama’s game Saturday against Kent State.

Carter has lived in Tuscaloosa since July, and did some seven-on-seven work with various players during the summer. He has stayed up to speed with Alabama’s offense working with his father, former NFL All-Pro receiver Cris Carter, an ESPN NFL analyst.
