Former Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley is not practicing with the Detroit Lions today and has instead been sent to Charlotte to see a foot specialist.
That’s the word via a Tweet from the Detroit Free Press today.
The 13th overall pick in the NFL draft and Auburn’s latest Lombardi Award winner is wearing a protective boot on his left foot.
The Lions have not said what type of injury he suffered.
“It’s not (a big setback) at all,” The Detroit Free Press quoted Fairley as saying after Tuesday’s practice. “I’m doing whatever I can do to get ready to get back as soon as I can.”
