AUBURN, Alabama – Auburn’s national championship team, its Heisman Trophy winning-quarterback and its national college coach of the year are on the ballot for this year’s ESPY Awards, the made-for-TV trophies that will be presented July 13 in Los Angeles.
Quarterback Cam Newton is considered for two awards: Male College Athlete and Best Breakthrough Athlete. Gene Chizik is on the ballot for Best Coach or Manager. Auburn is in the running for Best Team, and Auburn’s comeback win over Alabama is on the ballot for Best Game.
Fans can vote, too, on the ESPN website.
