The Associated Press is reporting that Texas had made an inquiry back in January about acquiring the services of Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban.
The reports specifies that a current and former regent for the University of Texas spoke with Saban’s agent, just days before the National Championship game, about the Tide coach replacing Mack Brown. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY
One of the regents met with Brown to inform of him of the conversation with Saban’s agent, and his thoughts about possibly stepping down.
Brown immediately declined the idea.
This is the second report of Texas making inquiries to hire Saban, but it doesn’t appear as if the Alabama coach is going anywhere for now.
