The Cleveland Browns have shocked the football world by trading their best player, Trent Richardson, to the Colts for a first round pick in next April’s draft.
It’s only Week 3, but the Browns have apparently faltered enough for management to make such a drastic move.
Injuries and suspensions haven’t helped the Dog Pound this season, but this isn’t the type of move that’s going to turn their season around.
Richardson, a former first round pick, was traded for what was deemed as a bargain.
Even thought the Browns will now have two first round picks in the upcoming draft, the Colts will certainly have a better chance of getting a higher pick because of their renewed potential to make the playoffs again.
The first round selections are ordered based on team records, with playoff teams slated as early at the upper-teens, leaving the Browns making what will possibly be one of the worst moves in their franchise’s history.
