Alabama receiver Kenny Bell tweeted out Tuesday afternoon that he plans on leaving the team to focus on his family.
He has already graduated and was just sticking around to play one more year of college ball.
The move comes as a surprise, as Bell rehabbed from a knee injury that he suffered in the Iron Bowl last season.
He played in Alabama’s opener against Virginia Tech, but did not make much of an impact.
Reports close to the situation are that his ex-girlfriend is putting a lot of pressure for him to be around his two children more, especially since he has already graduated.
Bell was never projected to be a first round draft pick, but an extra year of playing might of helped his potential draft status as a potential NFL slot receiver or special teams contributor.
CBS Sports reports that an Alabama source told Jeremy Fowler that Bell could return to the Tide, as his initial decision to quit could be tied to a lack in playing time. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY
