For the second year in a row, an Alabama player was left out of the College Football Hall of Fame induction class, with no bigger snub than former linebacker Derrick Thomas.

Twelve players and two coaches were selected out of 77 candidates, including: RB Ron Dayne (Wisconsin), DE Tedy Bruschi (Arizona), OT Orlando Pace (Ohio State), and HC Bill McCartney (Colorado) to name a few.
