     It’s a common trend for players to sign major contracts during the offseason, but this offseason is all about saving money.

     NOLA.com’s Larry Holder reports that Saints defensive end Will Smith and linebacker Jonathan Vilma have restructured their contracts in order to save the team some money this offseason. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

     Smith and Vilma were rumored to be potential cuts, once free agency opened, but now they’ll return on more salary cap-friendly deals after being major players in last season’s Bounty Gate issues.

     James Harrison would be “a great fit with the Saints” and “would love to be in New Orleans”, according to his agent Bill Parise.

     NOLA.com’s Larry Holder reports that it would be a “long shot” for the Saints to sign the recently cut Steelers linebacker. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

     The Saints are looking for outside linebackers this offseason, but they did just re-sign Junior Gallette to a new 3-year deal.
