     The 2013 High School Football season hasn’t even kicked off, but the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has already begun to send out invitations for the 2014 game.

     AL.com’s Wesley Sinor reports that two star recruits from the Mobile-area, St. Paul’s linebacker Tre Williams and Vigor defensive end Justin Thornton, are two of the first nine players to receive invitations. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

     Neither player has committed to a program, as they are expect to be some of the top prospects in the nation this upcoming season.

VIGOR’S DESHAUN DAVIS COMMITS TO AUBURN

Vigor Linebacker Deshaun Davis becomes the latest Mobile native to commit to Auburn for the 2014 class.

He has offers from eight other schools, including LSU, Clemson, and FSU.

At one point, Davis said that LSU was his “dream school” after receiving an offer from them in March.

There’s still a lot that can change in this next season, but Davis has made this decision early before undergoing surgery on his ACL.

     Vigor Sophomore Running Back DeSherrius Flowers received a scholarship offer from Alabama at the end of March, making him one of the first targets in the 2015 class.

     AL.com’s Ben Thomas reports that Flowers officially committed to the Tide on Friday. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

     He rushed for 922 yards and 12 touchdowns last season.
